The immigrant

The first room is present the story of the first group of Chinese who move from their main land and live in Phuket.

The Beginning of Baba

These Chinese work hard and have the family. The children that was born here are call BABA, which is the first generation in Phuket.

Baba Living

Baba have their own culture that mix between China and local Thai people. This room show the way they live in a house.

Baba Fashion

Baba dress like other Peranakan who live in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Australia.

Baba Food

Phuket food are close to Penang food. Because of the transportation is close to each other make the connection and culture are the same.

This hall use to be a bank office. The space is big enough for the public events. There are some antique furnitures shown in these room to present the living of old rich people.

The first movie is produced from ThaiBave (Thai Beverage Public Company Limited). Showing the first generation of Phuket-Chinese people who left their family and move to Phuket.

The Beginning of Baba

First Baba

The story of the child begin working at the harbor and become the owner of the business. He married with a local Thai people and the born baby was call BABA. The baba culture then become Phuket lifestyle nowadays.

There are seven pots and pans prepared as the screens for presentation. The projectors then send the light and map at those screens. The final images will look like cooking foods from start to finish.

The Presentation

The first floor of the building is arrange for public exhibition. However, all the five rooms on the second floor are created for presentation.  The technic using for each room are all different, but mainly are multimedia systems. There are 23 Projectors used to present the culture stories of Baba and their living. Now is the way I construct with the hardware and software for 30-40 minutes showtime.

These 3D images are created from 3DStudio and Cinema4D software. The final video will tell story of the old chinese people who work as the  labors which some of those become rich Phuketien.

The drawing with the cartoon of the young boy are created from Adobe Illustrator then painted frame by frame in Adobe Photoshop. The animation was then composed in Adobe After Effects.

The cooking food are shot with two cameras for side by side video. These video clips then are import into Final Cut Pro for editing. The Adobe After Effects will be used to make the masking before sending to Resolume Application for Video Mapping on the Pot and Pan.

Virtual Walkthrough

All 3D models are created from 3D Studio software. The Unity application then is config for navigation. When use with Kinect for Windows, user can use their hand to wave and control the direction travel around inside the house.

There are five different room for video mapping presentation. We prepare the video clips for different size to fit the screens. Some are on the wall, some are Plastic modeling or pot and pan. When all video are shot at the same time fro projectors, there will be an illusion that get attention from the audiences.

The hologram can be created from reflection of television or the light from the projector. This will make the animation float on the see through screen and the background on the back side.
